GCF Viola, founded 1994, is a patient organization which aims to support women with gynecological cancer and women with neoplasia and their families. GCF Viola also informs its members and the general public on gynecological cancer and acts, when considered needed, as a lobbying group towards politicians and decision makers. Currently, emphasis has been on cervical cancer prevention. GCF Viola was the first organization of its kind in Sweden.

The Swedish Network Against Cervical Cancer aims to spread information about HPV and HPV-related diseases. The network has a zero-tolerance approach and believes that all children – both girls and boys – should be vaccinated. The network is also addressing other issues in the prevention of cancer: information, the introduction of up-to-date new test methods, and a review of the Swedish screening programme. The network gives information to politicians, produces articles for the media, and publishes an electronic newsletter.
