Iris PCR/OG Onlus is a volunteer organization founded in 2002 on the initiative of a group of gynecologists. Iris
has founded several offices in Italy: Iris Campobasso, Iris Basilicata, Iris Frosinone, Iris Taranto, Iris Latina, Iris
Pescara. Its mission is to take care of women after medical, gynecologic and oncologic treatments, with particular
attention to young mothers or terminally ill patients. The Association is engaged in clinical and scientific research,
psychological and practical support to patients and their families, and to improve women’s knowledge of oncologic
diseases linked to female genitalia.

ONDa is as a nonprofit organization, founded in 2005 by a group of academics, scientific, and practitioners of the
Italian health sector. Its missions are to influence public health policies that consider both biological and genderrelated
differences, to promote research of implications that women’s pathologies have both at a political, social,
and economic level and to create awareness and better understanding of the health pathologies that affect women.
ONDa is currently working on a campaign to inform and create awareness to women about cervical cancer
and the existing strategies to prevent it.

Spazio Prevenzione onlus, located in northern Italy, is a non profit organization founded in1996 to promote
cancer prevention and early detection. It also provides psychological support to cancer patients and their
families and organizes educational and informative projects to communicate the importance of cancer prevention
and overall health care. Spazio Prevenzione onlus is currently developing other innovative services
to promote healthy lifestyles such as diet and exercise for global wellness.

UNAMSI is the Italian Medical Writers Association, established in 1957. UNAMSI sponsors and supervises
seminars and other professional projects for the continuing education of its members. In 1970, the Italian
Government granted UNAMSI a formal award on public health education. UNAMSI funds several projects
including grants to help young medical writers and every December grants the Ippocrate’s Awards to selected
leading physicians and medical writers.
