In March 2007, several women joined together to found the association “1000 femmes 1000 vies”. Its goal is to promote cervical cancer prevention among young girls and women in order to reduce the number of cervical cancer cases and hence save lives. Its missions are to provide support to women before, during and after their medical treatment, to offer a place to meet in order to answer women’s questions, to provide information and training in order to improve screening and prevention practice and to alert the public authorities on the necessity of offering to everyone access to prevention, vaccination and screening.

Comités Féminin was founded in 1989 by Professor Jean-Louis Lamarque with the aim of increasing women’s awareness of breast cancer screening. In 2002, Comité Féminin expanded its area of concentration to include colorectal and uterine cancer screening. Its missions are to encourage overall cancer screening, to increase the association’s presence throughout France and to serve as a trusted source of information for health experts and organizations such as the Fédération Nationale de la Mutualité Française.

Femmes Pour Toujours is a non-profit organization founded in 1988 by Françoise Nicole Kremer. Its mission is to serve as a link between women, the medical community, healthcare experts and the public sector in order to encourage education and to empower women to take a more proactive role in their healthcare and personal lives. Femmes Pour Toujours is the first association in France to focus on improving the health and well-being of women and their relationships. It is currently working on improving access to medical treatment and therapies for health issues affecting women over 40.

Regards de Femmes is a nonprofit organization founded in 1997 in Lyon, France with the aim of empowering young girls and women in the spirt of solidarity in France, Europe and worldwide. Regards de Femmes works closely with schools to teach girls/boys the importance of respecting one another’s differences. It also educates young girls about the vaccination against HPV. Its missions are to promote political and professional parity for women and to fight against physical and emotional violence experienced by women.
