APOZ is the largest independent, non-profit, non-governmental anticancer patient association in Bulgaria, with an extensive network across the country. It was founded in 2004 by Evgeniya Adarska and 16 other cancer patients. Its main aims are to help Bulgarian cancer patients to receive adequate screening and treatment, to protect their jobs and their human rights and to integrate them in to society. APOZ has succeeded in its attempt to bring Bulgarian cancer patients to the forefront and to transform their fragile hope into conviction that they have a real future.

National association for cervical cancer prevention «HPVGard» has been established in October 2006. The main goal of the Association is to encourage the cervical cancer prophylaxis among young women. The Association’s activities are mainly focused on the healthy population – the vast majority that is not affected by the disease. The main objective is to raise public awareness on HPV issues, cervical cancer and methods disease prevention.
